Anand Abhyankar

Anand Abhyankar was an Indian Marathi film, television and theatre actor. He starred in films such as Spandan , Balgandharva , Matichya Chuli , Vaastav and Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain . On television, he is known for his roles in Mala Sasu Havi, Fu Bai Fu and Asambhav. Abhyankar died onDecember 2012 in a car accident.

Abhyankar was born and brought up in Nagpur, Maharashtra. He was born in a middleclass family to Moreshwar and Ashadevi on June 2, 1963. His father was a labour welfare officer and his mother worked in the Post and Telegraph department. Abhyankar did his education till 12th standard from Nagpur and then moved to Pune, Maharashtra. He graduated in Commerce from the Garware College. He also worked in Bajaj Auto for over two years before turning to acting professionally.
